Within the
surrounding area there are places of interest and activities to
cater for everyone. For the history lovers besides Ephesus there
is also the Apollo Temple at Didim, Milet and Priene. For the
sun worshippers besides watersports in nearby Altinkum, you can
enjoy boat trips around nearby bays and coves or catch the ferry
to Kos or Samos. Two waterparks in the area one at Altinkum and
the other on the outskirts of Kusadasi will keep the children
happy whilst for the shopaholics try visiting the Soke outlet
shopping centre for designer labels or enjoy the experience of
a local market.
Very close
to the coast and beaches but it is more known for the views and
mountain walks and its very high oxygen levels.

They say that the medical experts send people to this area for these
reasons. Akbuk was a small fishing village and is very popular with
locals. Lots of restaurants close by and several large stores to
buy all your goods. Fresh bread every day and clean water can be
delivered. |

Area
Akbuk is a small
resort located in the centre of Turkeys favourite coastline, the south
west Aegean and features fantastic beaches. It is located at the foot
of gently sloping mountains and extends around a beautiful turquoise
blue bay where the air is fresh and clean.

Akbuk
is an unspoilt resort with plenty of restaurants along the beachfront
offering inexpensive Turkish cusine.There is a small marina where
you can purchase fresh fish caught earlier that day, and also
enjoy boat trips around nearby coves, whilst at the weekly Friday
market you can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables for a fraction
of the price in the UK.

DIDIM
- Just 7 miles from Akbuk is Didim where the ruins of the famous
Temple of Apollo can be found. The Temple of Apollo is one of
the most outstanding buildings of the ancient Greek World, not
only in size, but also in architectural style. The area can be
explored during the day and the ruins can be closely examined.
Didim is situated on the west Aegean coast and is very close to
the fertile Soke plain, famous for growing tobacco and cotton.

ALTINKUM
- The popular town of Altinkum is just 8 miles away. Altinkum
means golden sand and with its many beaches which
gently shelve into the inviting turquoise blue sea, it reflects
how this part of Turkey got its name. Beach life in Altinkum is
excellent and its stretch of beach is famous for water sports.
There is something for every-one whether you wish to relax or
explore and when the sun goes down there is a wide variety of
evening entertainment to suit all age groups.
The new Didim
Marina project, expected to be completed in 2009 will be the largest
on the coasts of Turkey, and provide visitors with an American
style shopping centre, restaurants, supermarket, gym & fitness
centre, cultural office, banks, swimming pool and childrens
facilities as well as offering berthing for up to 620 yachts.

BODRUM
- Bodrum is a unique yet popular destination which combines

and rich cultural town centre. Just 90 minutes away from Akbuk,
Bodrum is the most established and cosmopolitan of all the Turkish

access with daily flights to its International Airport. Bodrum
airport is only 27 miles from Akbuk.
You can
taste various popular cuisines here. You'll be offered the best
of Italian,Thai, Chinese, Mexican, European, Turkish cuisines
and sea-food from simple meals to gourmet feasts. Fish is always
a favorite in coastal areas and priced by weight. Delicious
starters (meze) are traditionaly accompanied by a glass of Raki

How
To Get There
Akbuk is located
between Izmir Adnan -Menderes (ADB) airport to the north and Bodrum
Milas (BJV) airport to the south. Both of these airports are served
by a large number of UK airports. Bodrum is usually only open in the
high season (1st April until 31st October), however Izmir airport is
open all year round and is still only 1 hour 30 minutes drive from the
villa. The
flight time to Turkey is approximately 4 hours from the UK.
